Brumby advocates are often referred to by the government & the press as…
“A fragmented group of extremist nutters”.
Let’s prove them wrong by locking arms & stopping the massacre of Brumbies.
WE’RE ALL ABOUT NON-LETHAL ALTERNATIVES
We are a dedicated group of passionate advocates, united by our unwavering commitment to protect Australia’s cherished Brumbies.
For years, we have toiled tirelessly behind the scenes, fighting against the heart-wrenching slaughter of any horse, for any reason – anywhere in the world. Our efforts have spanned over a decade, driven by a deep-rooted love and respect for these magnificent creatures.
You may have stumbled upon links to our main site, https://meetourhorsemeat.com. However, we choose to remain anonymous, preferring to let our actions speak louder than our identities.
The media and government often dismiss advocates for horses, including those who champion for the Brumbies, as nothing more than “fringe extremists.” But we refuse to accept this misrepresentation. Instead, we have forged connections with a diverse array of advocates and organizations, determined to prove them wrong.
Frequent posts on our site reflect our unwavering support for fundraising and protest efforts initiated by others. We believe in solidarity and collaboration, recognizing that our collective strength lies in unity.
Our message to those fighting to end the senseless massacre of Brumbies is simple: let’s join forces and work together.
We demand accountability from the government, challenging the validity of the numbers used to justify the current Brumby massacre. Are there truly 12,000 to 22,000 Brumbies in the KNP, as claimed? The data failed a peer-review and…
Expert testimonies, ignored during the recent inquiry, showed the data the “cull” is based on is not valid.
It’s possible that the actual number of Brumbies remaining in the KNP is far fewer than the the 3,000 the government stipulates is to remain. If this is the case, what is happening is not a cull but the eradication of a living legacy.
Moreover, we adamantly oppose the so-called “humane” cull, which employs a double-tap method of shooting Brumbies from helicopters. Government documents admit that this method often results in a slow and agonizing death, as horses are shot multiple times, their bodies struggling against the inevitable. A humane death by shooting from a helicopter is a myth.
We refuse to accept this cruelty. We implore you to stand with us in demanding NON-LETHAL alternatives to this barbaric practice.
If you seek to reach out, have unanswered questions, or wish to join our cause, our webmaster is available to address your inquiries.
Together, let us raise our voices for the voiceless and fight for a future where compassion triumphs over cruelty.

EXPERT TESTIMONY PROVES TORTUOUS DEATHS
While spokespeople for Australia's National Parks and politicians like Labour Minister Penny Sharpe have defended aerial shooting of Brumbies as humane, we urge you to consider recent testimony presented during a NSW Animal Welfare Committee public hearing/investigation.
The investigation focused on the proposed aerial cull of wild horses in Kosciuszko National Park (KNP).
However, concerns have been raised as there was already a "trial" cull during foaling season, tragically resulting in the deaths of foals - yes, baby horses were slaughtered.
In the video above, Ms. Ward cites a specific instance where horses were pursued by 3 helicopters and shot for a total of 9 minutes.
Additionally, she states that most of the shots didn't immediately render the horses insensible - deaths were slow, required multiple shots and were certainly NOT humane.
SLOW DEATHS ARE HUMANE?
From the Centre for Invasive Species Solutions: (Feral horses)
"Shooting from a moving platform can significantly detract from the shooter’s accuracy therefore helicopter shooting operations do not always result in a clean kill for all animals. Follow-up procedures are essential to ensure that all wounded animals are killed.
With aerial shooting of horses, ‘double-tap’ chest shots (2 quick shots) are most frequently made, as the heart and lungs are the largest vital area and an accurate shot is more achievable particularly within the range of unusual angles encountered when shooting from above.
Although death from a chest shot may be more certain, compared to an accurate head shot, a shot to the chest does not render the animal instantaneously insensible and time to death is slower."
Did you get that?
A shot to the chest - is most frequently used - and does NOT result in instant death.
How in the world could anyone call dying a slow death humane?
