HORSERACING IS NOT A SPORT
We’ve said it before and we’ll say it again, horse racing is not a sport.
Sport implies that all participants are willing – and do so by their own free will.
Horses do NOT have a choice in the matter.
Horse racing is a spectacle of abuse – again not a sport.
This latest “finding” by the press in Australia is just one reason we support the #nuptothecup movement.

BUT other sites are pretty well forced to including…
From racing’s own…
Mark Currie-trained sprinter tests positive to cocaine.
A spokesman for the Queensland Racing Integrity Commission has confirmed the result and said a steward’s inquiry into the matter will be opened next week. Should End Assembly be found guilty, its connections could be stripped of the victory and the $116,000 winner’s cheque.

We are going to continue our hands-on work to offer lifelong sanctuary to as many horses as possible. We generally have 20 at just one of our locations - at any given time.
We have the acreage to take on more horses as financial support allows.
